Fish Food
Today was an unusual day. Devin's Daddy was in training at work, so I got to stay home and hang out with my little guy. It's understandable that I'd do some thing differently, and Devin was very accommodating. But he did let me in on the one morning tradition that mustn't go by the wayside: feeding the fishies.
So Devin showed me how to feed the fishies. I'm pretty sure he fed them more than Daddy would have. But that's okay every once in a while, isn't it?

Window to the World
Devin's newest hobby is carrying his little blue chair to the different windows in the house. He likes to knock on the windows, blow on the windows, and talk to whomever is on the other side, whether it be strangers passing by or a visiting squirrel.

Home & Garden Show
Devin, Auntie Anne, and I wandered through the local Home & Garden show this morning.
Devin did well. He climbed on everything he could find.
Here's he is riding the bus like a big boy.
Plenty of large tractors to play on.Here's he is riding the bus like a big boy.
Devin found a swing that swung itself. he was in heaven.
And plenty of benches to scale.
And cute little Adirondack chairs
And a police cruiser... his favorite

Another no-picture update
Wouldn't you know it? Devin's done a million adorable things in the last week. And we have no juice for our camera. So we can't prove it.
Here's some highlights:
- While sitting in a meeting with me, Devin looked around, pointed at the computer screen, then yelled some gibberish at a coworker. When he was done, he looked back at me, said "uh-oh" and then got down to leave the conference room.
- We have a new race car track for Devin. After Devin's daddy spent many minutes assembling it, Devin swooped in much like Godzilla and took care of his Daddy's work.
- Devin found out that jumping on a bed of pillows is too much fun. So while not is use, the spare bedroom is Devin's pillow pit. If he's being too quiet, we go into the spare room and look under the pile of pillows. He gets all excited and giggles like crazy because he was found.
- Devin can jump. Not the kind where he bounces in a jumperoo, or leaps up but his feet never leave the ground. Nope - he can jump jump. And he likes to do so off of the coffee table while no one is watching. He expects us to catch him. Which we do, if we're watching. We're trying to teach him about expectations and reality. I don't think he's getting it yet.
- Devin has learned how to navigate the backyard. he'll run circles around the whole thing. Happy as a clam, that little boy.
Sorry about the lack of pictures. Amazon rescinded the original promise and just got the charger in the mail yesterday (so says the email). So give me another a week before you all yell!

On update on updates
We're out of the picture business for a little while. It seems that the world's cutest little boy has a penchant for throwing things away. And we believe this is what happened to the battery charger for the camera. So the camera battery is out of juice and the garbage has been collected by the city. Amazon promises me a new charger within the week. We shall see if the local Post office agrees with this assessment.
In the meantime, take a look back at the last few months of blog entries and enjoy seeing Devin grow up before your eyes!

Check out my cool kicks
Auntie Faith knitted me some cool Converse. She made them before I was born, because she knew how cool I'd be once I made my entrance into the world. And I've waited so long, but my feet are finally big enough to wear my cool kicks! Thanks, Auntie Faith!

Just another day at the park
We decided to switch it up and go to a different park, since we always go to the one across the street.
Devin swung a bit And went down the many slides (except the big one - it was a little too big)
