Big Boys and Their Toys

My new ride

Watch out!
Devin's got wheels and a license to be cute!

Just Hangin'

Devin literally hung out on the cabinet door.

Yet another Milestone (or two)

Milestone #1 that I'm not enjoying: Devin has an attitude. If you ask him or tell him to do something and he doesn't want to do it, he walks away from you with a devilish grin and an attitude-filled swagger.

Milestone #2 that I'm not enjoying: Devin can now climb on chairs. And then he can climb on tables. And next I'm sure is the refrigerator! Our friend Adam was right when he said never to teach your children to walk or talk!

I'm A Big Kid Now

Devin is normally served his meals on his highchair tray... without dishes.
But tonight for dinner he had actual big boy dishes! And he used his big boy fork to feed himself!

Going Outside

We've taught Devin that in order to go play outside, he must be wearing shoes, a jacket or vest and a hat.
He did such a great job of following the rules.
So we let him out.But just for a minute.

Chocolate Milk Junkie

Devin stole my Chocolate Milk. And he made sure to drink every last drop. And I don't think he felt the least bit guilty about it!

All wrapped up

Fun with Food

Devin loves to play with his food. Here he is with a cracker on his finger.
Just imagine what he'll be like when he discovers olives!

Devin's daddy has introduced Devin to M&Ms. And I can always tell when they've been sneaking candy, because Devin ends up with a little chocolate beard.

Thanks Uncle D

When we arrived home this afternoon, he had a pleasant surprise at the front door from Uncle D.

Uncle D (if you read this) - Devin absolutely loves Snoopy. He's had the Flying Ace for a matter of minutes and already can't live without him! In fact, when Devin needed some comforting, he ran to me, but quickly ran to snoopy! I've been replaced!

And even though Devin loves Snoopy, I've fallen in love with the letter you sent with it. It brought tears to my eyes! It's definitely going in his baby book!
Thank you, Uncle D

Diaper Helper

Devin no longer fights diaper changes. In fact, he helps lift legs and whatnot when changing the diaper. But as soon as the diaper is back on, he's off and running. He no longer has patience for pants or shirt buttons!

My Little Frat Boy

It's hard to tell, but the bottom of Devin's shirt says "Mini Wild Boy Society". I don't know when he joined, but he's definitely taken his role to heart!

In the meantime, Devin is bored inside and it's too icy/cold to be playing outside. Any suggestions?

New Shoes

Devin is proud of he creativity. He used a box as a new shoe. Now if only his parents would discard more boxes!

What A Gentleman

Devin's learning to tip his hat to the ladies.

Snackin'

When Devin wants a snack, he finds what he wants and brings it to us. Normally it's a small box of crackers or something. Yesterday he wanted Cheerios and couldn't find a package smaller than this: He carried around the container that's almost as big as he is. It was pretty cute!

Duck lips

Hot Stuff

Devin's Daddy does a great job of making sure the temperature of our house is perfect. This means lots of fiddling with the thermostat. It looks like Devin's taking after his old man - Only his Daddy doesn't have to stand on the back of the couch to reach the thermostat!

Yee Haw

Devin recently learned to ride his rocking horse. And he rides just as wild as any cowboy would in the wild west.

Pizza Night

Normally we don't have dessert on pizza night. And now you know why...

Cabinets

Devin is obsessed with getting into the cabinets. Devon's Daddy has done a great job of Devin-proofing, so the only cabinets Devin gets into these days are the ones without doors.

Fun and Games

Devin's Grandparents (my parents) helped him ring in the New Year. He had a great time climbing over someone bedsides Mom and Dad.He also took stock of everything (mainly his Magnadoodle and Cookie Monster) and made a resolution for the New Year: More milk and more fun!
