Happy Halloweenie

Here's Devin - My little Stinker

We went to our church carnival. The church spent plenty of money on carnival games, bounce houses, prizes, and plenty of other things. Any kid would be in heaven - but not Devin. He found a child's table and chairs in the hallway and just wanted to push that around all night. But Halloween is about the kids, so if pushing makes him happy, pushing it will be!

It's unseasonably warm here, so we had him in just a onesie under his costume. And for those in the know, you'll appreciate which onesie we chose for him:

I don't think he gets it

I don't think Devin gets that if you push the toy, it pops. He just hits it on the ground. At least he's creative!

We don't need no stinkin' toys

He cracks me up! Today Devin decided to throw enough toys out of his toybox so he could sit in it. And he stayed there for a long time, just enjoying being somewhere he normally isn't.

One set

We have one set of light switches in the house low enough for Devin to (barely) reach. And he found them yesterday!

Just playing around

Devin discovered the thrill of the great outdoors. Not only is there dirt a'plenty, but there's also big sticks! And we went to the park and tried the swings. Devin's still not sure about them, but he sure looks cute to me!
These are some of the fun things we did Saturday before the croup.

What a day!?!

Devin spent his Sunday morning in the ER. It turns out Devin has croup and an ear infection. Poor little guy!
So it's lots of rest, lots of fluids, and lots of cuddles for the next couple of days.

Devin's Daddy thought this was funny...

...Devin's mommy doesn't agree.

And in this corner...

Devin's Grandma made him this really cool robe.
And when the hood's up. he looks like the cutest little prize fighter in the land! He was so fascinated with the tie around his waist.
Thanks, Grandma, for outfitting my little champion!

My child the trash collector

It doesn't matter what it is, Devin just wants it out of the trash can and into the living room. Luckily tonight it was just a bag. Some night's it's not something you'd ever want on your carpet!?!

Parkin' It

After dinner we went to the local park to throw the ball for the puppies.Devin did some toddling...... And a whole bunch of getting up to toddle

Tunneling Through

Devin has recently learned that he can go under things - like the coffee table.

'Tis the Season...

... To be spooky!

Devin got into the spirit of Halloween while I decorated the house

Weapons of Mass Cuteness

A couple weekends ago, Devin and I played with nerf guns in the hallway. We shot the darts at the ceiling. One of them actually stuck.
Now everytime he's playing in his bedroom, he comes out to the hallway in hopes of getting another one to stick. First he just tries to reach the ceiling to stick one. The he realizes the manual method doesn't work, so he pulls out the big guns.
But he has no idea how to actually use a gun, so he gives up and just looks cute.

Autumn in the Aspens

Devin visited his first pumpkin patch Sunday. Here he is hanging out with Daddy. We found a Devin-sized pumpkin
And Devin found a pumpkin of his own!
After the pumpkin patch, Devin went off-roading. I don't know if the dirt will ever come out of his socks, but boy did he have fun!

Party On!

Devin didn't want to let go of that party feeling, even during dinner.

Party Time!

You've been invited to Devin's First Birthday Party! You'll know you're at the right place by all the decorations!

Foreman Devin is waiting for you to arrive!
Everyone needs a tool belt on a jobsite! (Devin's friends are coloring their very own toolbelts here)
After all that hard work, it's time for some grub!
After snacks it's all about playing with friendsPresents! (Devin tested them to see if they're chewable!)Let them eat cake! Devin will only go in with a finger at first. But that won't last long!
After all the fun, everyone will say goodbye and it will be naptime. The party fairies will get to the mess eventually!

Daredevil

Somewhere on my side of the family exists a picture of Devin's Great Grandma riding a horse (or two) by standing on the back/s (just a note - I don't remember whether there was one horse or two, but I don't think it affects the story too badly).
Devin's daddy and I don't have horses for a number of reasons. S
o Devin had to get creative:

Being a daredevil is hard work!

A Whole New Level

It's getting serious now! Devin's taken his drinking and driving to a whole new level! He used to have a drink or two before he got behind the wheel. Now he's driving while operating his Tonka vehicle!

Anyone know of a rehab facility for the terminally cute?

Digging In

Devin got a couple of birthday gifts in the mail today. He loved playing with the ribbons! Once he got past the ribbons, he dug right in!
Thanks Auntie Amie, Uncle Ty & Cousin Ben!

So Big

Here's Devin standing. You can't see his face, but it's really him. He's getting so big!

Union Suits

I don't know who invented union suits, or even why they were invented (to keep miners warm, perhaps?), but I do know one thing...

They're pretty darn cute when they're about two feet tall, covered in dinosaurs, and covering Devin.

Books & Boxes

Anytime there's a new obstacle to climb, Devin's all over it (literally). Devin's newest bibliophilic obsession is with flaps. It doesn't matter what's under the flap - he just wants to lift the flap over and over.
